The Department of Chemistry organized a DBT Sponsored one Day Industrial Visit to Coca Cola Company on 8th July, 2016 for III B.Sc Degree Students of the Department. Total 60 students were participated in this event.
The P.R.O of the Company
received the Students and he explained them the main features of the Company
and its Working Mechanism. The Plant has two production lines of 600 Bottles
/min capacity and one swing line of 110 bottles/min capacity. He mainly focused
on the sterilization of the Bottles i.e cleaning, steaming and sanitized to rid
them of any dirt and debris. This is done by jet streams and water. Then, the
bottles are picked up by something that can only be described as an overhead
conveyer belt. Coke syrup is poured into the bottles. He also explained the
Preservation & Storage mechanism.
